Onvalidatingpassword example

I found an article Guest Account Enabler by Reza Alirezaei of significant help.

He created an Http Module using a Minimal Membership Provider that provides a "Guest" user account that can be manually added through Share Point's "People and Groups / Add Users".

By default, the method CActive Record::save() automatically calls this validation, and requires it to succeed before it tries to save the record.

Note: You may get into trouble when using model's attributes as additional parameters for validators.

Here we go again, faithful Norton users waited a year and a half cutting and pasting usernames and passwords while the leading computer security firm worked to solve he problem in a piece-meal fashion, please don't tell me it's gonna be another such journey to fix this. I had Norton Level 2 tech support trying again to fix this for over an hour today. They're booting the problem up to their "engineering team" to solve the problem.

I too cannot log into my Norton Security Deluxe Identity Safe Vault with Firefox 51.0.1 (32-bit) on Windows 10 Home Edition 10.0.14393 Build 14393, been going for 3 days after working fine on same setup. Windows 10 Home Edition (64-bit) Version: 1607 Build 14393.693 Norton Security Deluxe Version: 22.9.0.71 Identity Safe Version:2.0.65 Firefox 52.0 (32-bit Hello Please see the Announcement on top of this Board for a thread started by Sunil and replied by RDLeo. I also contacted tech support and they were unable to fix the problem.

The CModel class uses a method named CModel::rules() to return an array with the rules for validation.

The dummy Membership Provider is only needed to satisfy the required Membership Provider Name used in the Sharepoint "Authentication Providers Edit Authentication" setup when you change the "Authentication Type" to "Forms Authentication".

I am having the same problem in FF on all of my machines, was OK yesterday but now just the spinning wheel in 'UNLOCK your vault'. OBSERVATION: I checked some Norton Identity Safe self-generated backup files in a Hex Editor, the first line seems to identify either the storage location or the application used for opening. (The funny thing is, it DOES recognize and tell you when you use an incorrect password, so the authentication part of the process appears to be working....) FWIW: I've been having the hung Vault login for the past few days. In addition to letting other users know about this, I was hoping that if someone from Norton was monitoring this thread, they could tell the people working on the problem "Stop! I let the vault sign-in spinner go for over an hour, no luck. Please try to access again your Identity Safe within 24 hours and if the issue still persist, please don't hesitate to contact us back for further assistance Hello All Please check the top of this Board for Announcements.

Can open the vault in chrome and IE, however I only have 7 entries in the vault and there should be 147. That sounds like: "we don't know what we are doing, we are groping around in the dark and we have no idea of either when we will locate and fix the issue and we have not the level of concern for our customers to even tell them when a fix is available for download and install". I noticed differences, some before my recent renewal and some after. I just tried the same approach I have tried a few times (signing off of my account and signing back on and then attempting to login to my Vault). We do need to be sure we're comparing apples to apples.

Windows 10, Firefox 51.0.1, Norton Identity Safe, three PCs. Yesterday morning I attempted to open the identity safe vault in Firefox. Now all I get is the spinning wheel on the 'Unlock your vault - validating password' page on all three PCs.

I have logged out of my Norton account both from NS and the 'ID safe Unlock your vault' page.

I just renewed my subscription on 23FEB2017, I guess some of us just count on Norton too much. Norton chat support said that this was a system-wide problem, and to keep live-updating just in case they have a fix. I really do apologize for the inconvenience that this might have caused you Timothy. After running Live Update and restarting , please let me know if you are still facing issues with your ID SAFE.
